QUALITY

Savory or sweet, salty or spicy, our food is delicious! The strength of the menu at The Rock is our reliance on local, fresh ingredients. In the Chiriqui Highlands we benefit from an abundance of fruits, vegetables and legumes as well as rich dairy products. We feature the best locally-sourced meats, along with a variety of fish and seafood from the coasts. Preparing dishes that enhance rather than obscure these wonderful ingredients is our chef’s goal.

ABOUT THE ROCK RESTAURANT

The Rock opened in 2009 under the direction of a duo of hospitality experts who shared a vision of creating a unique eating experience in Boquete. Jorg Senne and Andrew Wilkins are the forces behind Select Small Hotels, a hospitality management company that owns and operates The Rock. Based in Boquete, the company manages a number of properties throughout Panama. To guarantee the development of a superb menu and dining experience, Senne and Wilkins enlisted the aid of Heiner Gellenberg, the Master Chef and culinary consultant of Food For Senses. His concepts embody innovation, creativity and passion in the preparation of food that challenges all our senses. Gellenberg continues to consult with the team at The Rock to contribute his gastronomic expertise.

A dining experience is more than just great food, and The Rock offers more than just a great meal. The setting is spectacular alongside the Palo Alto River and the open-air ambiance promises relaxation. The perfect music, present but not intrusive, adds a nice touch, and the staff is devoted to providing exceptional service. Welcome to The Rock, a Food for Senses Restaurant. We appreciate the opportunity to serve you, again and again!
